A fundamental question facing executives at community development banks — and executives everywhere — is how to move forward in an operating environment notable chiefly for its uncertainty. This plenary provides guidance on what mission-driven banks should expect over the next couple of years when facing big-picture questions that affect them, their customers, and their communities. The discussion will cover electoral dynamics, macroeconomic conditions, capital markets, and policy trajectories, among other topics.
