About me
Diane Ellis is senior managing director at IntraFi, where she leads the Advancing Communities Together Deposit Program.
Previously, she was the director of the Division of Insurance and Research at the Federal Deposit
Insurance Corp. She led the FDIC’s efforts to maintain the adequacy of the Deposit
Insurance Fund and an effective and fair risk-based premium system, assess economic and financial
sector risks to the banking industry, conduct policy-oriented research and analysis for rulemakings, and
collect and publish bank financial information and statistics, including the Quarterly Banking Profile.
She has extensive executive-level experience in deposit insurance pricing and fund management and
was elected twice to serve as an executive council member for the International Association of Deposit
Insurers. Earlier, she was a senior financial analyst and bank examiner with the FDIC.
Ms. Ellis received a bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University and a master's degree in public policy from George Mason University. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
