Craig Landrum is a partner in Jones Walker's Banking & Financial Services Industry Team in Jackson, Mississippi. Craig focuses his practice on bank regulatory law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions law, and securities law.
Craig has extensive experience representing banks in a broad range of issues, including more than 100 merger and branch acquisition or sale transactions, as well as representing insurance companies and agencies with regard to corporate and regulatory matters, including the licensing of bank subsidiaries as general insurance agencies and underwriters.
Craig lectures frequently on bank regulatory matters for organizations such as the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking, the Mississippi School of Banking, Mississippi Bankers Association CEO Conference, Louisiana Bankers Association Bank Counsel Conference, and the Bank Administration Institute. Year over year, Craig has been praised in Chambers USA by clients interviewed for the publication. In 2017, clients said, "Accessibility is a highlight" and described him as "outstanding" and "very well respected within the Mississippi Banking Community." Previously, clients noted his skills as a "fine banking lawyer" (2015), focused on his “great knowledge in the banking law arena” and "good relationship with…the regulators" (2014), and called him "the top banking regulatory lawyer in the state" (2013).
Craig has given more than 100 presentations to the quarterly meetings of the Bankers Compliance Task Force on regulatory issues.
